Inserting probes in method code view

Probes are inserted by positioning the cursor at the desired point and selecting the "insert probe" menu command. The probe selection panel appears after selecting the menu command. If the Conditional, or Expression Watch, button is selected, a probe editor is opened.

Once inserted, the probes appear as a red underlined character emphasis. In the adjcent window the probe is shown at the beginning of the message selector. This means that the action will occur before the message is sent.
